VinylFest kicked off June 14, offering a jam-packed weekend of musical entertainment at the Crowne Plaza.

Guests interacted with a celebrity panel of music heavyweights including Mark Ambrosino, co-founder and president of Sojourn Records; Mark Dunn, an award-winning licensing analyst with Sony/ATV Music Publishing; Ken Kelly, an iconic album cover artist; William Stout, a former rock magazine art director and album cover artist; animator, illustrator and graphic designer Joe Busam; and Blessing Offor, an R&B musician.

Additionally, the event included musically-inspired movies showing throughout the weekend – including MC5, an undistributed documentary about the band MC5 – a classic guitar exhibit, a create-your-own-album cover area and a live radio play. Actors of Unusual Size presented “The War of the Worlds” on June 15.

VinylFest is a brand new music festival that debuted in Louisville June 14-16. VinylFest brought together vinyl enthusiasts, album artists, musical artists, music-related movies, vendors and more.
