9th Annual Spirit Ball

Lavishly costumed masqueraders celebrated the ghostly season in true 19th-century style in one of the city’s most opulent mansions, Conrad-Caldwell House Museum on Oct. 25.

This year, in honor of the 100th birthday of the Belle of Louisville, the theme of the 9th Annual Spirit Ball was, “Celebrating the Spirits of the Belle.”

Guests enjoyed gourmet cuisine, music, silent and live auctions, expertly-mixed cocktails and a fabulous costume contest before hitting the after party, where they danced the night away with entertainment by Sheryl Rouse Crawford. The ball benefits the Conrad-Calwell House Museum, a Victorian structure which contains a large collection of antiques from that time.
