It’s a job and it does have its job-ish moments, but at the end of the day, there’s really no place I’d rather be than in a theater. You have to have a great passion for the job to put up with it because hours are funky. But I’m so lucky because I know that Louisville is a great town and a great theatre-going town. And to have a job like this, to be able to live here and not have to live in New York – I’m as close as I can be to what I love while still living here.
Leslie Broecker – President of Midwest Region for Broadway Across America
Theatre was very transformative for me in high school; it really helped me come out of my shell and discover new things about myself … And what’s really cool about working for Broadway Across America is that we get to stay tuned in to the culture of what’s happening in modern theatre nationally but still be close to home and connected to the local arts scene. That’s why I’m here and why I’ve stayed.
