Love Louisville Beecher Terrace

Last week, I wrote about Love Louisville: Beecher Terrace, an event in the West End that was being hosted by various people and organizations – including Pastor Robert Pitman and Sanctuary Church – and invited readers, WHAS11 viewers and anyone who would listen to show up, come and love – and plenty of you did.

I’ll give a full update in next week’s issue of The Voice-Tribune, but today I just wanted to share some of the images from the Saturday afternoon block party that connected residents from one of the toughest areas in our city to fellow community members who reside all over Kentuckiana.

Did we affect ground-breaking change? Of course not. But did something special occur during the get-together? Based on the feedback I continue to receive, decidedly so.

I look forward to sharing with you next week.
