Press Release

The city of Louisville is honoring a local man who is a driving force in the entertainment industry. February 12th has been declared Dorian Washington Day, with a proclamation by Mayor Craig Greenberg.

Dorian Washington began his career more than 30 years ago, and has since contributed to the success of many well-known musical artists, Dis and producers. He has received three Grammy Awards for writing and management, 65 RIAA Platinum and Gold plaques, and several other notable awards.

Washington is currently the president of Hitmaker Music Group, where he recruits and manages talent and produces special projects. He previously served as VP of Artist Relations for Nike's 24 Division, where he played a vital role in the brand's strategic rollout.

Dorian's proudest accomplishment is carrying on the legacy of his close friend and business partner Static Major, who was recently added to Louisville's Hometown Heroes. Static's banner hangs on the Roots 101 African American Museum building, and there is an exhibit inside the museum that showcases his successful music career.

Louisville's recognition of Dorian Washington Day signifies the community's appreciation for his professional achievements, personal values and influence in the entertainment industry and local culture.

Dorian is available for media interviews and show appearances February 10-14. He can be reached at dorian@hitmakermusicgroup.com or 502-664-3877. Photos and video content are also available upon request.
