A portion of proceeds during the month of January (National Mentoring Month) will be donated to BBBSKY
Coming fresh off its successful campaign to recruit 120 new volunteers marking 120 years of mentorship, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana (BBBSKY) is set to host Rollerskate For Kids’ Sake, a community event at Champs Rollerdrome in Louisville, on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025. January is National Mentoring Month, and BBBSKY is excited to invite Bigs, Littles, community members, and the media to celebrate mentorship and learn how to get involved during an afternoon of fun, food, giveaways, and more!
WHEN: Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025 | 1–3 p.m.
WHERE: Champs Rollerdrome | 9851 La Grange Road, Louisville KY 40223
WHO: BBBSKY Bigs, Littles, families, employees, community members
WHAT: Attendees rent their skates and a portion of proceeds will be donated to BBBSKY.
Skaters can donate $10 to BBBSKY to request a song, $25 to receive a BBBSKY hoodie. Free food and drinks will be provided, as well as raffles and door prizes for attendees. Information table will be on site for those who would like to learn how to volunteer or get involved in other ways. Matches (Bigs and Littles) will be in attendance for great visuals and interview opportunities!
WHY: January is National Mentoring Month, and BBBSKY is hosting this marquee event for the community to come out and engage with the agency, meet families and volunteers already in the program, and learn how they can get involved themselves.
