Whether you are decked out in fangs and a cape, a little black dress or jeans and a shirt, don’t forget to wear your dancing shoes when you attend this year’s exciting new Halloween event, the Black Widow’s Ball!

The Brown Hotel’s Bluegrass Room will be the place to be this Saturday, Oct. 13. The fun starts at 7 p.m. and is hosted by Dreams With Wings. Dance to the tunes of Gary Chism with C & J Entertainment. Dance contests and prizes for the best “Thriller” or “Salsa Pair” and of course there will be a costume contest! The overall winner of the costume contest will be crowned and receive a one night stay at the Brown Hotel, complete with champagne breakfast.

The evening will include dancing, light Halloween-themed hors d’ oeuvres and spirited cocktails, the Spider Mite and Widow Maker!  As the night wears on and your dancing feet are feeling weary, you can step over and dip your very own Krispy Kreme donut. You may even want to drink your cocktail out of a specially fashioned “spider” glass.

To kick off your holiday celebration, you will also receive a little bubbly to take home: a bottle of Kenkell Trocken!

Make sure to bring your change and help the folks at Dreams With Wings determine our first annual Black Widow King and Queen.

The proceeds for the evening will benefit Dreams With Wings, whose mission is to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism as they recognize their strengths, contribute to their communities and pursue their dreams.  Our vision is to provide individuals support to live inclusive lives full of purpose and meaning.  There is a strong focus on giving of themselves through volunteer work in our community.
