What happens when you ask 16 of the areaâ€™s most renowned chefs to â€“ collectively â€“ create a seven-course meal? Attendees of the Friends of James Beard Benefit Dinner found out firsthand at the elegant event, Sept. 14 at The Brown Hotel.
The dinner, sponsored by The Voice-Tribune and other businesses, celebrated the 25th anniversary of the James Beard Foundation, a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to nurturing and preserving Americaâ€™s diverse culinary heritage and future. Proceeds also benefited the scholarship fund for Sullivan Universityâ€™s National Center for Hospitality Studies.
