On Nov. 2, Steve Wilson and Laura Lee Brown hosted The James Beard Foundation’s Taste America dinner at Barn8 Farm Restaurant & Bourbon Bar. This year’s event featured a multi-course meal from chefs Alison Settle (Barn8) and Tonya Mays-Cronin (Kismet, Lexington) that reflected their signature styles and the Kentucky culinary scene. Taste America, presented by Capital One, is a nationwide initiative to bring together chefs and diners to support the local restaurants rebuilding a more sustainable and equitable industry.
