Leadership Louisville Center announces Ignite Louisville Class of 2015

Forty-five emerging leaders have been selected for the Leadership Louisville Center’s Ignite Louisville Class of 2015 that will run from October 2014 – April 2015. This is the 13th class of the award-winning program, presented by Norton Healthcare, which has graduated nearly 600 up-and-coming leaders and recently grew to offer two classes each year, preparing an even greater number of next-generation talent for expanded roles in their organizations and in the community.

Ignite Louisville is a seven-month program that grows mid-level professionals by developing the key components of leadership. In addition to the core curriculum developed by Norton Healthcare, Yum! Brands, Inc., Brown-Forman Corporation, Northwestern Mutual and the U.S. Army and the class will continue participating in the Yum! IGNITES Louisville Challenge. The Challenge provides an opportunity for the class to take on a project proposed by a local nonprofit and gain hands-on experience performing on a team and serving the community. Ignite Louisville and the Yum! IGNITES Louisville Challenge recently earned a national award for “Excellence in Innovation” from the Association of Leadership Programs.

Body Shapes Medical Opens Upgraded Clinic to Meet Growing Patient Base Needs

Body Shapes Medical, a recognized leader in Kentucky for Hormone Replacement Therapy, is relocating one of its clinics in order to meet the needs of current patients, while also making room for new patients.

Formerly in the Brownsboro Park office park off of Rudy Lane, the new clinic will reside near Holiday Manor at 4980 US Hwy 42. The adjoining space in 4982 will serve as an expansion, set for the Spring of 2015. “The new clinic will be a more beneficial location for our patients, and provide area businesses with extended commerce opportunities. We look forward to meeting our new neighbors,” said Ted Ennenbach, President and CPA of the four-year-old company. “Our patient base is expanding each and every month, and demand is expanding to Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati, as well as Elizabethtown. This is a very exciting time to be in healthcare, for certain.”

Kentucky Proud Joins The Celebration Of Bourbon And All Things Kentucky

Bourbon aficionados from throughout the nation will converge on the Bluegrass this weekend for a celebration of America’s native spirit and Kentucky culture. They’ll have Kentucky Proud foods and drinks to go with their favorite beverage.

The Bourbon Social is set for Oct. 10-12 at various locations in the Lexington area.

“Kentucky has a rich food heritage, so it’s fitting for Kentucky Proud foods to be included in this celebration of all things Kentucky,” Agriculture Commissioner James Comer said. “The Bourbon Social is a great opportunity to serve Kentucky Proud foods to a national audience. It also benefits a great cause – helping children who are battling life-threatening illness.”

More than a dozen Kentucky Proud producers will provide dairy products, honey, fruits and vegetables, beverages, sorghum, jams, and other products.

The Bourbon Social consists of eight events over three days, including a day at the races at Keeneland, a private tasting of Pappy Van Winkle bourbon with Kentucky Proud dishes, a bourbon seminar series, the Bourbon Social main event at Fasig-Tipton horse farm in Lexington, and two bourbon brunches and tours.

Proceeds will benefit The Makenna Foundation, which raises funds for the Kentucky Children’s Hospital of Lexington.
