Joseph’s 40th Anniversary
Joseph’s Salon and Spa proudly celebrates its 40th anniversary. In 1972 Connie Lee Flint and Joe Dan Flint opened the namesake salon on the corner of Dutchmans Lane and DuPont Road. From this single location, Joseph’s has introduced the community to new brands, pioneering new services, and bringing wellness to the community. Now owned and operated by Connie and Joe’s daughter, Kelli Campbell, Joseph’s continues its high standard of eco-friendly luxury. In the early ’80s, with his vision of synergistic wellness and beauty, Flint was the first salon in the state of Kentucky to offer Aveda products to his clientele. By 1992, the salon gave product exclusivity to Aveda and by 1997, Kelli added the lifestyle and spa component. Taking wellness a step farther, in 2012 Kelli initiated a program with Norton Suburban Hospital to provide in-room services to expectant mothers.
The Joseph’s team of style and treatment specialists are very creative and rooted in a team-based culture. Many of the stylists are internationally trained and key members of the creative team travel to New York and other markets to learn and bring back new style trends. Spa services are also up-to-the-minute with such offerings as 100% organic spray tanning and semi-permanent mascara applications.
You can join Kelli and the staff at Joseph’s in their anniversary celebration on Saturday, Sept. 29. The celebration lasts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes slices from the Brick Oven Pizza Company, gift bags and cupcakes. Enjoy the Aveda Experience including product and treatment demonstrations. The event is open to the public. Joseph’s Salon is located at 3938 Dutchmans Lane. For information call 502.897.5360 or visit www.josephssalon.com.
