The Bluegrass State is best known for horse racing, bourbon tasting and college sports. These activities have stood the test of time as the quintessential pastimes of local men, as they combine adrenaline, history and leisure.
Today, however, there is an ever-increasing variety of places to eat, drink and be manly throughout the city. Below are our top 10 manly things to do in Louisville.
1. Tattoo Salvation

TG&G (short for Training, Guns & Gear) gun range provides training facilities and classes, an indoor gun range, airsoft arena and gear and equipment available for purchase. 3. Urban Bourbon Trail
Explore the many varieties of the Commonwealth’s signature spirit right here in town. Pick up a passport at the Louisville Visitors Center at 4th and Jefferson Street, at any participating stop on the trail, or download the app to visit any six of the 26 bars and restaurants featured on the Urban Bourbon Trail in downtown Louisville. Have the bartender validate the passport while enjoying bourbon cocktails. Collect six stamps and be rewarded with an Urban Bourbon Trailblazer T-shirt and official Citizen of Bourbon Country certificate.

4. Frazier History Museum
The Frazier History Museum is located on West Main Streetâ€™s â€œMuseum Row.” The museum has a collection of galleries, daily live historic performances and three floors of featured exhibits. It is the home of the Royal Armouries USA, the only place in the world outside of Great Britain to permanently house and display Royal Armouries artifacts.
Until Aug. 31, professional football fans can visit â€œGridiron Glory: The Best of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.â€ The largest traveling Pro Football Hall of Fame exhibit, covering 5,000 square feet, has over 200 legendary artifacts on display, including the Vince Lombardi Trophy, iconic uniforms and more.

5. The Louisville Beer Store
Located in NuLu, the Louisville Beer Store is Kentuckyâ€™s first original beer store and tasting room dedicated to craft beers. The store features eight rotating taps and more than 400 bottled beers from around the world. T-shirts, glassware, beer gift sets and more are available for purchase. The Beer Store is standing room only but features a beer garden located outside that is perfect for beer tastings.

6. DiOrioâ€™s Pizza & Pub
DiOrioâ€™s pizzeria, located in St. Matthews, serves Hand Tossed New York-style pizza, complete with a full bar. 8. J Shepherd Cigars

9. Happy Hour Run
The Happy Hour Run presented by the Derby City Run Club will be Friday, Aug. 1 from 7-11 p.m., benefiting the Kentucky Human Society. Kick off the weekend with a run followed by evening filled with post-race beers.
The event will feature a 5k and five-mile route for runners and walkers and will be stroller and dog-friendly. At the finish, food and beer will be available for purchase along with cornhole and other games set up for participants to enjoy. The races will start and finish at Against the Grain Brewery downtown. Top finishers will be rewarded with prizes, and each participant will receive a T-shirt, race bib and sponsor goodies.

10. Professional Bull Riders Blue DEF Velocity Tour
The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) will be at the KFC Yum! Center on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. PBR is the largest international premier bull riding organization. The tour will be in town for one night only and will feature some of the best up-and-coming bull riders in the world.
