What is your fashion view?
I believe that fashion is something that is inherited at birth and is perfected as one gets older. I have always been influenced by the classic “preppy” style of a man’s wardrobe. Something that never goes out of style and is never trendy.

How do you describe your style?
My style is casual without being sloppy or unfinished. I love a good reason to don a tie and sport coat or a tuxedo as well.

What are your favorite pieces?
Anything linen or cashmere are my favorite pieces in my closet, as well as the many hats I collect. I have over 50 baseball caps and various other chapeaus.

Where is your favorite place to shop?
When out of town I enjoy shopping at Ben Sherman, French Connection, and Upscale Consignment Shops with a nod to vintage. In Louisville I can always find something classic at JCrew, Banana Republic, and Evolve Men’s Consignment on Frankfort Ave.

Who is your fashion icon? Why?
Icons include Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren, and Tommy Hillfiger for their timeless and classic looks. I’ve been reading GQ since high school and continue to collect issues for future reference.

When it comes to dressing, what’s your favorite – dressing up or keeping it casual?
I believe I enjoy dressing up the most. A man’s wardrobe should always include a khaki suit and a dark suit, a tuxedo, dark denim, tailored oxfords and sport jackets, colorful ties, and a jazzy hat or two.
