Interview By MIRANDA ROGERS MCDONALD
The Chic Sheet
What is your fashion view?
You are able to express yourself through fashion. I love dressing up from head to toe, because it makes me feel great about myself.
How do you describe your style?
I would consider my style classically chic. For me it’s all about keeping things simple and feeling comfortable in what I’m wearing. I usually invest in pieces that are classic and well-tailored. However, I also love to jump outside of my comfort zone and buy an outfit that I normally wouldn’t choose.
Do you dress yourself for work or do you receive outside help?
Yes, I step into my closet every morning and pick out my outfit. My mood plays a huge role in the outfit I end up choosing. There are days when I can’t find a single outfit to wear, and that is when I wish I had some outside help.
What are your favorite pieces?
I love wearing dresses. About half of my closet is filled with dresses, preferably colorful ones. The brighter the color, the better. It puts me in a more upbeat mood and that comes to life on the air.
However, outside of the station, I dress very casual. You will usually find me in a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and ballet flats. I will add a scarf or jewelry to add a little flare to my outfit, because I love statement pieces.
You will also find me in workout clothes A LOT, since I love running.
Where is your favorite place to shop?
I will shop around at the big name store like Banana Republic, Express and The Limited. I also love boutiques such as Blush, Clodhoppers and Francesca’s.
Who is your fashion icon?
I don’t have just one fashion icon. However, some names that come to mind are Katie Holmes, Kerry Washington and Giuliana Rancic. They make great fashion choices, and I always love to see what they are wearing.
